Sole Material: MAXWEAR WEDGE SLIP-RESISTANT OUTSOLE The MAXWEAR WEDGE outsole flexes better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces. It keeps you on your feet on flat, wet, and oily surfaces, as well as loose gravel. This outsole also lasts longer than blown rubber outsoles. It meets ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards.

The MAXWEAR WEDGE outsole also meets ASTM F2413-18 or ASTM F2892-18 ELECTRICAL HAZARD safety standards, providing protection against electrical hazards.

Comfort Features: - Poron Comfort Cushion - Removable Ultimate Shock Absorption Footbed with dual-density polyurethane to absorb impacts and wick away moisture, for maximum comfort.

Brand History: Thorogood's roots trace back to 1892, when Albert H. Weinbrenner opened a cobblery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over the decades, the company has evolved, becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army during World War I and World War II. In 1988, the company was purchased by a local group, including six employees, and the "ThoroGard" division was created, featuring high-tech occupational safety footwear.

In 2000, Thorogood's employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). The company has continued to grow, celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2017 and opening a new factory in Merrill, Wisconsin in 2022. Thorogood is now known for its diverse range of work boots, including the iconic Hike n' Camp boot, as well as its new Western wear line.
