Thorogood's 6-inch, quick release, soft toe chelsea style boots are made from durable, full-grain black leather and are certified ASTM F2413-18 puncture-resistant slip on boots for men and women. Designed for flexibility and traction, the Thoro-Flex traction outsole features a translucent bottom for scuff-free work and meets ASTM F2913 Slip Test Standards.

These non-metallic work shoes provide electrical hazard resistance, meeting ASTM 2892-18 EH Resistance Test Standards. The removable, single-density comfort insole is made with strategic concentrations of polyurethane under the heel and ball strike zones, absorbing impacts and wicking away moisture. The direct attach construction allows for a secure binding of the outsole, giving these boots their lightweight durability and flexibility.

Thorogood's history dates back to 1892 when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer. In 2000, Weinbrenner employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP.
