From the Brand: 1892: Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opens a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner, Joseph Peffer, serving "Jobbing" trades. 1900: Albert H. Composite safety toe caps provide the same protection as steel, but are non-metallic, corrosion resistant, and transmit less cold while weighing less. The boots are constructed or manufactured with electric shock-resisting soles and heels capable of withstanding an application of 18,000 volts (root mean square (RMS) value) at 60 Hz for 1 minute with no current flow or leakage current in excess of 1.0 milliamperes under dry conditions. The waterproof, breathable membrane keeps feet dry while instantly venting moisture and body heat. Thorogood BBP X-Stream Waterproof and Stedair linings are bloodborne pathogen penetration compliant, for at least one hour when tested according to ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials used in Protective Clothing.
