The skilled craftsmen and women at Thorogood's US plants have AMERICAN MADE the PREMIUM FULL-GRAIN LEATHER BOOTS in Thorogood's pull-on Wellington work boots design, Trail Crazyhorse brown (804-3320), with USA and globally sourced components. These comfortable boots are designed to stand up to punishing jobs, with a special wax applied to give them a vintage, Old West look.

These WATERPROOF BOOTS for men feature a membrane that keeps water and hazardous liquids at bay while the moisture-wicking lining pulls sweat away and out, allowing you to work without worry. The STEEL TOE BOOTS for men provide protection from on-site impact and compression hazards, with a design that keeps them light and flexible, making Thorogood's safety toe Wellingtons some of the best work boots for men with dangerous jobs. They meet ASTM F2413-18 safety toe standards.

The MAXWEAR 90 TRACTION OUTSOLE WITH HEEL flexes better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces, keeping you on your feet on loose gravel and wet and oily surfaces. These work boots meet ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards.

The EH RESISTANCE of these MAXWear 90 work boots meets ASTM F2413-18 electrical hazard resistance safety standards.

The brand's history dates back to 1892, when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner, Joseph Peffer, serving "Jobbing" trades. In 1900, the Albert H. Weinbrenner Co. was formed, and the company's first catalog was printed in 1916, by which time it had more leather cutting machines than any other in the U.S.

The "Job-fitted" concept was introduced in 1917, and the company was a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army in WWI. In 1938, the company took its first steps into safety footwear production, and in 1942, it celebrated 50 years in business, converting to all-military footwear for the duration of WWII, producing combat and dress styles. Military footwear also became popular with civilians.

In 1943, the company workers organized under the International Boot & Shoe Workers Union, and management and workers have maintained an outstanding relationship through today. In 1964, the company introduced the Official Boy Scout Boot: The Hike n' Camp, with a wedge sole and moccasin-style stitching, which became the company's best-selling boot of all time and is still available in its original design today.

The company was purchased by a local group, including six employees, in 1988, and the "ThoroGard" division was created, featuring high-tech occupational safety footwear. In 2000, Weinbrenner employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP. In 2001, the company donated 300 pairs of durable work boots to Ground Zero within three days of the September 11 terror attacks, with another 200 pairs following. The 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted, lifestyle boots was introduced in 2014, and the company celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2017, demonstrating a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving domestic facilities, machines, equipment, manufacturing methods, and computer systems/programs.
