Shop / thorogood pull on work boots for men
The skilled craftsmen and women at Thorogood's US plants manufacture AMERICAN MADE premium full-grain leather boots (804-4205) in Thorogood's Tobacco brown Wellington work boot design. These STEEL TOE BOOTS FOR MEN protect their feet from on-site impact and compression hazards, while the design keeps them light and flexible, making American Heritage Wellingtons some of the best safety toe boots for men with dangerous jobs. Crafted with GOODYEAR WELT CONSTRUCTION, these work boots provide superior wear resistance and moisture seal between the upper and midsole, making them extremely dependable, long-lasting, and fully-serviceable.
The MAXWEAR WEDGE™ TRACTION OUTSOLE flexes better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting the feet and ankles while working on loose gravel and wet and oily surfaces. These boots meet ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards and ASTM F2413-18 electrical hazard resistance safety standards, providing EH RESISTANCE. The REMOVABLE ULTIMATE SHOCK ABSORPTION FOOTBED on Poron Comfort Cushion Insole, Thorogood's dual-density cushioning, uses air-permeable open cells that both resist moisture and absorb shock for the most comfortable mens work boot.
The FIBERGLASS SHANK CONSTRUCTION gives these tough mens boots the flex and strength needed to maintain their shape under heavy duress, and the 11-inch flexible ankle support keeps the wearer secure up top. These boots are both comfortable and durable, suited for punishing jobs.
Thorogood's rich history dates back to 1892 when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving "Jobbing" trades. The company, now known as Weinbrenner, has since been a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army, introduced the "Job-fitted" concept, and transitioned into safety footwear production. In 1964, the company introduced the Official Boy Scout Boot: The Hike n' Camp, which became their best-selling boot of all time and is still available in its original design today.
In 1988, the company was purchased by a local group, including six employees, and the "ThoroGard" division was created, featuring high-tech occupational safety footwear. In 2000, Weinbrenner employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP. The company celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2017, demonstrating a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving its domestic facilities, machines, equipment, manufacturing methods, and computer systems/programs. Today, Thorogood celebrates 130 years as a company, with the opening of a new factory in Merrill, WI and the launch of its first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons.
