Thorogood's Trail Crazyhorse brown (804-3320) pull-on Wellington work boots are PREMIUM FULL-GRAIN LEATHER boots made in the USA with both USA and globally sourced components by the skilled craftsmen and women at the company's US plants. These WATERPROOF BOOTS for men feature a membrane that keeps water and hazardous liquids at bay while the moisture-wicking lining pulls sweat away, allowing you to work without worry.
Designed with STEEL TOE protection, these safety toe boots meet ASTM F2413-18 standards, safeguarding against on-site impact and compression hazards while maintaining a lightweight, flexible design that makes them some of the best work boots for men with dangerous jobs. The MAXWEAR 90 TRACTION OUTSOLE WITH HEEL flexes better than other work boot soles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles on difficult surfaces, keeping you stable on loose gravel, wet, and oily areas. These outsoles also meet ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards.
Additionally, these EH RESISTANCE work boots meet ASTM F2413-18 electrical hazard resistance safety standards, providing an extra layer of protection. The boots' special wax application gives them a vintage, Old West look, complementing their PREMIUM FULL-GRAIN LEATHER construction for a rugged, durable aesthetic.
Thorogood's heritage dates back to 1892 when 27-year-old Albert H. Weinbrenner opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving the "Jobbing" trades. The company, now known as Weinbrenner Shoe Company, has evolved over the decades, introducing innovations like the "Job-fitted" concept in 1917 and becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army during World War I.
In 1938, the company took its first steps into safety footwear production, and in 1942 it converted entirely to military footwear for the duration of World War II, producing combat and dress styles that also became popular with civilians. The company's relationship with its unionized workforce has remained outstanding since the workers organized under the International Boot & Shoe Workers Union in 1943.
Milestones include the introduction of the iconic Hike n' Camp boot in 1964, the creation of the high-tech "ThoroGard" occupational safety footwear division in 1988, and the employee ownership of the company through an ESOP in 2000. Thorogood continues to demonstrate its commitment to quality and innovation, celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2022 with the opening of a new factory and the launch of its first western wear product, the Square Toe Wellingtons.
